What is Deerlake's PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) System.

Students can earn BUCKS BUCKS Badges throughout the school day by demonstrating our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) behaviors- these include:

B - Be responsible
U - Use kind words and actions 
C - Collaborate with others
K - Keep it respectful
S - See something, say something.

Teachers can reward students as needed, and parents can track their child's BUCKS totals in Focus, with adjustable notification settings available. Students can "cash out" their BUCKS for classroom rewards and Bucky's items (our PBIS School store). Teachers will individually determine their classroom reward "prices". Additionally, we will recognize a "Student of the Month" during morning announcements, with nominations from C-period teachers and a random draw by the grade level AP (one per grade level).
